The Indian PM Narendra Modi, had earlier raised concerns about the recent attacks on temples in Australia on which he received assurances from Mr. Albanese that the safety and well-being of the Indian community in Australia is a priority for him and would not be affected.

In March, Shree Laxmi Narayan Temple in Brisbane was harmed intentionally by pro-Khalistan supporters, and in January, the Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple in Carrum Downs and the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Mill Park also met-up with the same incident with anti-Hindu graffiti. These incidents have raised worry in the Indian community residing in Australia.

According to Sarah Gates, the Director of Hindu Human Rights, the recently happened attack on Shree Laxmi Narayan Temple is a part of a pattern followed by Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) worldwide. The aim is to spread hate and terror among Australian Hindus through illegal signs, cyberbullying, propaganda, etc. Supporters of khalistaan also tried to gather support in their referendum with the help of a  rally in Melbourne but were not able to succeed in gathering many people.

In summary, the Australian Prime Minister has reassured the Indian Prime Minister and the Indian community in Australia that the safety of the Indian community is a priority for Australia, and the country won't tolerate any attacks on religious buildings, including Hindu temples. The recent incidents of vandalism and hate crimes against Hindu temples in Australia are a cause for concern among the Indian community, and the authorities are taking action to ensure the safety of all citizens.
